Halloween Music - The Root 66

Some bluesy, some rock-y, some folks-y, played Del -all he did well and he had a few stories to tell. As his third gig of the day he still gave us his best and it was appreciated. Great job Del!! You're awesome! I'm, guessing he was dressed up as a cowboy, though it was a little like the usual I've seen him as before so I'm thinking he was dressed up as himself. Pretty ingenious costume if you really think about it. He didn't need a mask and it's hard to sing through a mask. Jenn Grinels was next up and man can that girl sing. Then she hops around on the swivel chair in her Flo the Progressive girl costume and says something ever so Flo-ish and you're back in the room again. Hmmmm Jenn, I think you just might be headed somewhere girl. OOoooooo and the finale, the big Kahuna, or the Royal Palace Player himself, Rodney Branigan! I can never tire of hearing him. He defies gravity, space and time. His guitar playing is undefinable you just have to see it. I've been a follower of Rodney since 2003. It's been a journey in my life as each of his dates here in Albuquerque seemed to punctuate a marker moment and his music has been a constant blissful place to return. I was spared this...
